We survived! In fact, I think it was a miracle! We rented a car in Central London on a Friday afternoon. With no GPS (couldn't get it to work) and essentially no map, driving (of course) on the left hand side of the road with the steering wheel on the right, facing daunting traffic and with Valynn continually shouting "NOT THERE! NOT THERE! NOT THERE!," we managed somehow to get out of town safely - praise be to God! - and found our way to Bath. We got out of London just in the nick of time, as this weekend and all next week Queen Elizabeth II is celebrating her Diamond Jubilee and London will be an absolute mess. Queen Elizabeth is celebrating 60 years on the throne, the second longest reign of any monarch; only Queen Victoria reigned longer.
