London, England

Spent most of the day yesterday in the British Museum - a history-lover's dream. Here is one tourist who tried to see it all in one day:

Warned that this could be our fate, we decided to view only those items of particular interest. The biggest thrill was visiting the British Library and viewing the Codex Sinaiticus- the oldest full Greek manuscript of the New Testament-350 AD - the world's most important book - and the St. Cuthbert Gospel, the oldest intact book discovered in Europe and just acquired by the library for 15 million dollars- the most they have ever spent on a book! This pocket gospel is in beautiful condition and has its original binding. Google-it to learn more about it; it has recently been in the news.
